Trip Report - July Meeting & Club Picnic- July 19th, 2003

On July 19th our monthly meeting and 4th Annual Picnic was held on the Commons in New Castle, NH. The weather was picture perfect for a cookout with a clear blue sky and a soft breeze coming from the ocean. Our thanks go out to Jane and Dannie Barrett for making the arrangements for our meeting and picnic again this year. Thank you to Arthur for his assistance with the grocery shopping and to his superb skills at the barbeque grill. Thanks also to Priscilla Caira and Les Barton and everyone else who pitched in to make the day so successful. We had 45-50 who attended the meeting and the weather couldn't have been any better. There was plenty of food, time to socialize, time to sit near the water and watch the boats, walk on the beach, or enter one of the three bocce tournaments that were held after lunch. Congratulations to all of the winners and many thanks to those who attended. I hope everyone enjoyed the event and look toward keeping this as an annual event on our calendar.
